Daily Affirmations: Positivity ("we", "our", or "us"), developed by Appcial, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use our mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
You may use the app as a guest (anonymous device identifier) or sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple (where available). If you choose to sign in, we receive only the profile information you allow (such as your name and email address) to create and manage your account.
Optional profile information
If you provide it in the app, we may receive fields such as country, country code, language preference, and notification settings to personalize your experience. We do not request or use device location permission.
Automatically collected information
The app may collect limited data through third-party services, including:
- App usage events (screen views, feature interactions)
- Device information (device model, OS version)
- Crash and performance diagnostics
- Advertising-related identifiers and metrics (the app may show ads)
Some analytics data cannot be used to identify you on its own.
2. How We Use Information
Collected information is used solely to:
- Provide and improve the affirmation experience
- Deliver scheduled affirmation notifications you configure
- Sync preferences and favorites when you sign in
- Fix bugs and improve stability
- Understand feature usage
We do not sell, share, or trade your personal data for marketing purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
The app uses trusted third-party services that may process data according to their own privacy policies:

- Sign in with Apple – Optional sign-in; we receive only information Apple shares per your choices. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Firebase Analytics – App usage analytics
- Firebase Crashlytics – Crash reporting and diagnostics
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) – Affirmation notification delivery
- Google AdMob / advertising partners – The app may display ads; ad partners may collect data as described in their policies and in the Google Play Data safety section.
4. Google Sign-In
- We receive only the information you approve (typically name and email) to identify your account.
- We do not store your Google password; authentication is handled by Google.
- You can revoke access anytime via your Google Account settings.
Google Sign-In is optional; you can use the app as a guest.
5. Sign in with Apple
- We receive only the information Apple provides (name, email, or a private relay email).
- We do not store your Apple ID password; authentication is handled by Apple.
- You can revoke the app's access in your Apple ID settings at any time.
6. Notifications
The app sends optional affirmation reminders based on settings you choose (time window and frequency). You can enable or disable notifications in the app and in your device settings. We do not send marketing notifications without your consent.
7. Data Storage & Security
- Affirmation content may be cached locally on your device for offline access.
- Account-linked data (preferences, favorites, notification settings) may be stored on our servers when you use guest or signed-in accounts.
- Data is transmitted using encrypted connections (TLS/SSL) where applicable.
- We follow industry practices to minimize data collection and protect user information.
8. Permissions
The app requests only permissions needed for core functionality:
- Notifications – for affirmation reminders you configure
- Account access – only if you choose Google or Apple sign-in
9. Children's Privacy
This app does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. The app is rated Everyone on Google Play. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so it can be removed.
10. Your Rights & Account Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated data. See our Account Deletion page for the 7-day grace period and how to cancel a scheduled deletion by signing in again.
You may also contact us to access, update, or delete account data.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when necessary. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
